LOVING - I just finished reading Marie Lu's book "The Young Elites" and it was a book that I couldn't put done. If you like young adult books with antiheroes and magic and/or enjoyed reading her Legend series it's a must read.
THINKING - I'm both nervous and excited to be teaching grade 2/3 this fall. This will be my fifth year of teaching and I have taught from grade 3-6. I'm used to teaching students who know how to write on looseleaf and put their looseleaf in their duotang. I have my grade threes take a small amount of notes, so that will have to be changed or adapted. So I think that the first couple months may be a challenge. I'm guessing I will have to try that writing paper with the dotted lines. If you have taught grade two and have any advice I would greatly appreciate it.
WANTING - Now that I have finished the first book in "The Young Elites" series I so want to read the next one. Unfortunately I will have to be patient, as it doesn't come out until October 13. It is definitely on my "To Read" list on Goodreads, which makes me think of another want "having more time in the day so I can read even more".
NEEDING - Ever since university, when I would eat all day so that I could stay awake and pay attention in class, I have loved snacking throughout the day. With lunch supervision, recess supervision and all of the other teacher duties it can be hard to have enough time to eat properly during the day. Now that it's summer and I don't have the crazy teacher schedule I can snack whenever I feel like it...like as soon as the post is done.
ALLSTAR - I feel like I am an allstar planner. I am one of those weird people who likes to do year plans. It makes me feel calm when I have things planned out. When things aren't planned it can be a bit nerve racking to me, so I plan hanging out with friends and family often a week or two in advance. I'm not so great with the "go with the flow" mentality. I also love to plan books to read, though I think I have too many books on my ever growing "To Read" list and not enough time to get to them all.
Thanks for stopping by :)
